Blogging into the next 250 years

I’m started a new chapter in trading in my life. I’d love if it became a big part of my life and I want to see that happen. So today I get started and see where I can take things over the coming weeks, years, and months of my life. I’m setting a cool goal for this project and here it is.

Let’s see if I can take a $5000 and turn it into a billion dollars in my lifetime. This process is going to start on 7/8/2026.

I bought a couple CoreWeave and SpaceX stocks today. I looked at bonds but didn’t buy anything today. I’m starting with relatively small capital so some of my investments might sound silly.

I have a general understanding of options, futures, and stuff like that but never really traded stuff like that in my own life. I’ve lived in New York for the past four years so I’ve vicariously learned a lot about that stuff.

Hopefully one day I can live off of just what I do for trading. I have other ambitions in life too though. I want to be a charismatic public speaker. I want to be a passionate friend and family member. We’ll see how that stuff squares with these tech/investing pursuits. Sometimes it feels like all the time we spend staring at our laptops alone can’t possibly add up to the life people are really seeking. How does it make us connect better or present ourselves in ways for which we can be truly proud? If you could make the same amounts of money, have the same friends, live in the same places, etc. without having to stare at a screen all day, would you ever pick the version with the screens? Maybe I’m just particularly sensitive to this.

It’s a bit wrong to say I haven’t been trading already. I’ve been actively managing my portfolio for the past 2+ years. I’m almost turning 28 so that’s a little late to the game by some standards today, but I’m happy to be diving in at this stage in my life and I’m eager to see what I can do. I’m grateful for the wins I’ve got under my belt already and excited to see what opportunities I find in the future to come. Hats off to our beautiful country for making it this far, and all that markets have done to allow this incredible present moment and abundant future we now behold.

Maybe I’ll start this blog as a stream of consciousness type deal and then it’ll become more refined with time. I want to get my thoughts out at first. I’ll narrow my vision and my message in due time.
